This was made for a friends daughter whose name is River (hence the R inlay in the headstock). She wanted the famous Great Wave painted on the guitar body but the rest was up to me to design! So I went with a flowing, surf rock shape and abalone inlay to coincide with the ocean and a clear blue pick guard to top it off. My brother, Mark Allen who is an amazing painter and artist, painted the wave and I clear coated the body and neck with a shellac flake French Polish. This makes the curly maple in the neck and headstock POP and the soft maple body look so lush. Equipped with three Victory gold foil pickups this guitars ready to slay the beach.
