Born in Arlington, Texas, raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Jasper Adkins went on to get his certificate in luthiery at Red Rocks Community College school of fine woodworking in 2016. Following college, he worked at Earthwood Design in Denver, CO building custom furniture, front doors, timber framed structures and more. 

 

Jasper kept building custom guitars for friends and family throughout the five plus years that he was working at Earthwood. Covid hit and threw a monkey wrench in life and work, he moved around the country for a few years until he finally found his community. With a well of musicians in need of fine instruments, Nashville would make a perfect home for launching a custom guitar company. He finally found his name, his shape, and his direction.

Leisure Guitar Company came to life in January of 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee with the goal to create beautiful instruments built with the highest craftsmanship possible.
